That afternoon Erin and I decided to go to the cinema and watch a movie. She was working that evening at the strip club as it was just reopening after being refurbished. The girls settled on the MTVHits channel that was around 20 songs into the 50 best dance anthems. Leanne had on a pair of black leggings and a pink top with a black skull on it and her Doc Martin Jadon Max’s which I guess explained the heavy lugged sole I felt. Alina had on a pair of denim shorts with a white t-shirt and old beat-up white Adidas Superstar trainers. Riah had on blue skinny jeans, a navy hoodie, and a pretty trashed pair of brown Uggs with a button on the side. We stood chatting in the kitchen, Erin told them what we were eating, she had made a Carbonara and we discussed what movie we were going to watch. I was overruled on all my suggestions and a chick flick was chosen.
I went through to the lounge to get the Movie ready on Netflix while Erin and the girls chatted in the kitchen. The lounge had 2 large sofas and a separate armchair. I sat down on one of the sofas and looked down at the two grimy patches on my t-shirt where it had been used as a doormat. I won’t be washing that one again ever. A minute or so later the girls came through with more beers, Erin sat down on the same sofa as me and immediately put her Uggs up on my lap. The next day I was out early, Erin was still in bed when I left for class. At about 10.30 my phone pinged with a message from her. “How do you feel about having the girls round for some food, drinks, and maybe a movie on Friday night?” “Yeah sure that’s fine,” I replied, “I can go out and leave you guys in peace.” “Haha no you’re invited dummy, I’m not just kicking you out to use your flat, plus I’ll need my footrest hahaha. I’ll do a pasta dish.
