This is an actual event that really, truly happened to me. No embellishment.
I’ve had a trample and footrest obsession since a very young age. Like preschool.

The year was 2001. I was thirty-two at the time and in grad school.
I had a wife and kids at home, and I was burnt out from studying that night.
The far west Chicago suburb that I lived in was a college town.
I knew exactly what I wanted to do. And I finally had the guts to do it. The movie that was playing that night was Josie and the Pussycats.
I got there early and sat in the back row.

In walked a group of 4 college girls with their soccer shirts still on. Again, I am not making any of this up.

I waited until the movie trailers started, and then I made my move.
I sat down in the row in front of them. When I could tell that they were not paying any attention to me, I slowly started to slouch down in the seat, inch by inch, until I was lying on the ground. I waited there quietly for a long time, making sure that they were into the movie and hadn’t noticed me.
Okay, now for the good part. I eased along the floor carefully until I was lined up with them, and I could see their feet on the floor. Adidas shoes. I moved closer and closer until my face was lined up with the first girl’s feet.
She stretched out her legs, and both shoes rested on my upturned face, with the weight of her legs. Words cannot describe the rush of euphoria I felt. To her, my face was just a comfortable footrest. I reached my right hand out, and I put it close to one of the other girls’ shoes. Within a minute, her right shoe came down on my hand. I was now pinned down as a footrest for these two pretty college girls. Amazingly, neither one of them changed their position on me for the entire movie!

As the movie was starting to come to an end, I needed a quick exit strategy.
Very slowly, I started to slip out from under them and slinked back to my seat. As the lights came up, I pretended that I had fallen asleep in my seat during the movie. I heard them giggling and talking about me.
It was a once in a lifetime, all the planets lined up, fantasy.

I’ve been dying to tell someone this story, all this time. I have a bunch more stories just like it, if you want more.
