I got a car and so I often offered lifts. And again, I always had bits of work and stuff, or maps, on the floor. Some girls would kind of go, ‘I don’t know what I’m stepping on, is it OK?’
(I wonder how many of them worked out that the more they did it, the more lifts they got offered…?) And, it’s tough to drive when you can hear crumpling and ripping, and you know exactly what’s going on…. And then she (or they) would finally get out, and I’d go round the first corner and look at what’s left, and ….OMG!
I’d put an important item, (big pic) lying upside down on floorboard of car, passenger seat. It would be exciting to pick up a lady that you knew would be wearing heels. She would sit there, usually asking if it was alright to put her shoes on it. During the drive I could hear the heels working on the pic. The only drawback was concentrating on driving. During the outing, she would get in and out of the car several times, working on the pic. (It was a big pic of me from service days) Part of the “excitement” was the fact that she might see what it was she was ginding. Thank goodness she never did. Needless to say the pic was absolutely ruined.
Love it. I did the same a long time back when I was taking my secretary home from work during a period when her driving licence was suspended for medical reasons. She had some metal tipped thin stilettos and after seeing her leave some marks on an old newspaper in the footwell I came up with the idea of covering it with cardboard. The excuse was that there was a leak in the heater – true actually. She never noticed getting in but when she got out she saw the marks her heels left and said ‘did my heels do that’? I nearly shot my load. I kept the cardboard and put in some more. The look on her face suggested she half enjoyed it.
