After Ida-Lisa had trampled all over me, her flip-flops had left some dirty footprints on my T-shirt. Unfortunately, they disappeared when I had to wash the clothes, so I came up with the idea of making them more permanent. I didn’t have the slightest idea how to go about it, so I looked up information on printing on textiles. I found a type of dye powder that you mix with water, which was supposed to create a durable finish on the print. Ida-Lisa was on board with my idea. I wanted the imprint to look as natural as possible, so one day when the ground was damp from light rain, I folded up a white T-shirt. When I saw a young woman scampering by in flip-flops, I hoped she’d come into the store. With my heart pounding with anticipation, I placed the T-shirt just inside the store door. I was incredibly lucky when the young woman headed straight toward me.
